According to a report on vision published by the World Health Organization in 2019, at least 2.2 billion people have a visual impairment.
It is also estimated that an average of 2.6 billion people have myopia.
Due to the prevalence of these refractive errors, raising awareness of how people with these errors see the world is essential so that the general population understands the severity of these cases and tries to prevent and/or treat them when possible.
